Reading and Prayer

The 2nd leg Reading and the Prayer have been kindly offered by the Reverend Iain Armstrong.

Isaiah 40:31

31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Prayer

"O God, Be for us our companion on the walk, Our guide at the crossroads, Our breath in our weariness, Our protection in danger, Our refuge on the Way... So that with your guidance we may arrive safe and sound at the end of the Road enriched with grace and virtue. And also return safely to our homes filled with joy.

May you help us to find:

  • Peace in friendship

  • Great cafes filled with food to sustain us and cake for the walk

  • Wonderful stories along the way...

And may you make sure we aren't troubled by blisters or aching joints.

And I pray you help us find depth in our friendships, and faith along the way.

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
